Margaret Perry is an avid reader and collector of children's literature. When she was young, at the Children's Library, she would start at "A" and work her way through the alphabet, 15 books at a time. Now she does the same thing in bookshops.
Her favorite children's books are: Peter Pan and Wendy, The Search for Delicious
, and A Hole Is to Dig
.
She is from Napa, California, and currently lives in Virginia.
She started Little Lamb Books in January, 2009, in honor of her grandmother, to promote children's books that contain exceptional beauty in both narrative and illustration, a sense of wonder, and hopefully a touch of whimsy and silliness.

what a great list. can't wait to check them all out. I did read your review last week or so about the Quiet Book. which also sounds wonderful. marry Christmas and congrats on being an author on First Things!!!!!!!!!
Finally got to read The Quiet Book and Dogs - bought them for my nephews. I'm getting seriously interested in that illustrated gospel for my daughter, 8, who has difficulty reading. I think it might make a good 1st communion gift. Still looking forward to more Amos McGee (I love that name!) It was at the top of my most recent list of new library book suggestions.
